A tree that grows, Shooting skyward— Reaching for sunshine, Swaying in the wind. But before it rises, It must reach downward, Into damp and darkness, Pushing with all its might. Just like in life, We must grow within, Strengthen our roots, To reach for our dreams. To earn applause, To hear the claps, To taste success And truly shine— We must make effort, Silent, steady, deep, For only those who strive Can rise and reap.
