No, don’t stare at your watch It shouldn’t tell us where to be. Let’s get lost in memories and plots, as I hold your hand in a silent plea. Let’s pick books and smell the pages, as we recount promises. Let’s walk like we don’t know direction, like time is a gentle being. Let’s not run away to shelter from the rain like last time; Let the raindrops fill us with languid laughter next time. Time cheats me, dare it own us? Why can’t you have nowhere to be? I want to stay for a while, won’t you agree?
