THE WEIGHT OF SADNESS

Sadness comes on silent feet, A shadow soft, yet bittersweet. It whispers low in hearts that ache, And bends the soul till spirits break. Tears fall slow like drops of rain, Washing faces, hiding pain. Dreams once bright now fade away, As night replaces golden day. Yet in the dark, a truth is clear— Even sorrow won’t stay here. For hearts that break still learn to mend, And every sadness meets its end.
